📉 Stocks tumbled Friday, with the Dow losing 453 points and posting its worst week in nearly a year, as oil surged past $90 a barrel. A disappointing jobs report showed payrolls unexpectedly fell by 92,000 in February, pushing the unemployment rate to 4.4%.

🗓 Yesterday was Crossover Day under the Gold Dome. Here are some highlights:

  • The House rejected a constitutional amendment to legalize sports betting.
  • Senate Republicans failed to advance a bill to replace voting touchscreens with hand-marked paper ballots.
  • The Georgia House passed a bill to cap property taxes.

💳 American Express has struck a long-term deal that makes the card company an official payments partner of the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta United, and Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

🎶 Hundreds of Harry Styles fans gathered on the Beltline on Friday for a pop-up merch shop celebrating his new album, “Kiss All the Time, Disco Occasionally.” The shop is also open today and tomorrow.

🏳️‍🌈 The Human Rights Campaign, Atlanta Pride, Georgia Equality, and more than 30 other groups will be at the Capitol on Tue., March 10, for a day of advocacy training, contacting lawmakers, and rallying for LGBTQ+ rights.

🖥 Morehouse College has been chosen to house one of the most powerful academic supercomputers in the Southeast.

🏀 Tucker High School’s James Hartry coached his last basketball game in February, retiring as one of Georgia’s top high school basketball coaches.

  • President Donald Trump demanded Iran’s “unconditional surrender,” saying it would be followed by new leadership and U.S. cooperation, comparing his vision for post-war Iran to Venezuela.
  • Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian called the idea “A dream that our enemies will take to the grave,” although he apologized for strikes on his Gulf neighbors.
  • President Trump will travel today to Delaware to attend the dignified transfer of six service members killed in an attack in Kuwait.
