Dancing With the Stars competitor Jackson Olson is setting the record straight on his teeth.
The Savannah Bananas infielder revealed in a recent TikTok that all of his pearly whites are fake, as a result of a painful baseball injury that he sustained three years ago.
“I’ve been getting a lot of videos, comments, questions about my teeth,” Olson explained in the clip. “No, they’re not real. They’re veneers. All of them. And this is the story behind it.”

The athlete proceeded to set the scene. “Three years ago, during one of my games, I got hit in the face with a baseball and broke my jaw,” he said. “And even though it was one of the worst pains I’ve ever felt, I had one important question for my athletic trainer: ‘Are my teeth fine, though?'”
While his trainer confirmed that his “teeth looked fine” at the time, Olson noted that it was during his stint in the hospital that he “realized my teeth were, in fact, not fine.”
As part of his treatment, the 28-year-old underwent surgery to repair his broken jaw. He chronicled his recovery process on social media and returned to the Bananas’ home field, the Historic Grayson Stadium, for his first game just three weeks later.
It was through his videos that Olson caught the attention of a cosmetic dentist in Atlanta, who reached out about his dental health after the injury.
“They did X-rays and told me even after getting surgery, my teeth were at the risk of dying,” Olson said. “Everything in my mouth had shifted and I had gaps everywhere because of the impact. So this was my chance for everything to get better before it got way, way worse.”

Alongside his voiceover, Olson shared clips of himself sitting in a dental chair and his excited reaction to seeing his brand new smile for the very first time.
He continued, “Sometimes in life, you get thrown a curveball. Or even worse: a 90-mile-an-hour pitch to the face. But through all the adversity life throws at you, remember to stay positive, continue to live your life, and usually, in return, good things will happen.”
Olson isn’t the only Dancing With the Stars cast member who has experienced some dental difficulties as of late. Maura Higgins told Entertainment Weekly how she accidentally elbowed her pro partner, Mark Ballas, during a week two rehearsal, and chipped his tooth.
“His eyes were streaming, I was like, ‘Oh my God, I’m so sorry!'” she recalled, to which Ballas simply replied, “It’s okay. It happens.”
