Wateree River and Hwy 378

They are in the process of replacing these bridges now. The have already started on the west bound bridge. Old bridge coming down, new one going up in its place.

I also hear that there is a ghost that haunts the west bound bridge. Supposedly she died in some kind of a car crash and under specific weather conditions she appears to hitchhike. She'll get in your car and appear as real as the sky is blue. By the time you get to the end of the bridge she is gone.
