Before Michael Vick even takes the sidelines as football coach at Norfolk State, he already has his sights set on a bigger goal.
In an appearance on the I Am Athlete podcast, Vick, who was hired at NSU in December, revealed what his long-term plans in coaching are.
“I see myself potentially going to a Power Five one day,” he said. “That’s the goal. Anything I get myself involved in, I’m always going to look into the future and where I can take it or where I can go. Or, where we can go. Because it’s a team effort and I have to have a great staff around me.”
Vick, who was hired last month to replace Dawson Odums as the Spartans’ football leader, will make $400,000 annually in his current role.
