I’ve been a makeup junkie since I was 12 years old, so I’m always trying out new products to see what will become part of my “Holy Grail” edit. YSL Beauty gifted me a few of their makeup products and life finally slowed down enough for me to try them out.
First up is the Couture Mini Clutch Eyeshadow Palette in Gold Lace, a limited-edition couture eyeshadow quad that includes satin, matte, metallic, and shimmer eyeshadows. The colors are absolutely stunning. The oil-enriched formula provides high-pigment payoff; there’s a tiny, tiny bit of fallout but you don’t struggle to see the color when applied. The formula is soft and buildable, so you can use the palette for an easy every day look like I did, or pile it on and go full-out glam. My makeup stayed in place for hours and the shadow didn’t fade at all.
I also received 2 of their Loveshine Lip Oil Sticks; these lip products blend the color lipstick with the slip of a lip oil, so lips are hydrated with a luminous finish. I received shades 44 and 209, but since they were part of the holiday collection, the colors had a “shimmer holiday twist”. I love how these feel on the lips, and the shades that I received are perfect for everyday.
This particular collection was from the Holiday collection, but the shadow palette is still available on their site and a few other places. If you shop at Sephora, the regular palettes are available and you can get your points.
If you follow me on IG, I’ll have a Makeup and Yap post up soon using them so that you can see them in action.
