What in the actual fuck.

I’m on FT literally as I type this with bae.

We were talking about how BLM and MAGA fallout literally sounds the same now like we’ve achieved UNITED – ness…

Charlie Kirk was assassinated at a Utah Valley University event. Officials and major outlets confirm he has died. The shooter is still unknown, and the investigation is ongoing.

He was rushed to the hospital but later died from his injuries.

Violence, no matter the target or justification, is never the answer. The shooting of Charlie Kirk is not only a tragedy for one man—it is a wound to the soul of our nation. It may silence a voice, but it cannot change a heart or heal a nation.

While I strongly disagree with…

And it has nothing to do with race…

In the aftermath of Charlie Kirk’s tragic death at Utah Valley University, political leaders from across the spectrum have strongly denounced the violence.

President Donald Trump ordered U.S. flags to be flown at half-staff until Sunday at 6:00 p.m. in Kirk’s honor and called for prayers for his family.

BREAKING: Instead of bringing Americans together, Trump just delivered one of the most divisive and disgraceful speeches by any president in the aftermath of someone’s death.

He dishonors Charlie Kirk’s name by turning his passing into a rallying cry to smear Democrats. Notice… pic.twitter.com/9uqGGfYROF

Statement From CVO/BLM Activist Tahyira Savanna on the Death of Charlie Kirk

Today, I am deeply saddened by the tragic death of Charlie Kirk. This act of violence, occurring at a university where ideas are meant to be shared safely, is a stark reminder of the fragility of civil discourse.

As someone who has dedicated their life to activism and advocacy, I understand the power of raising our voices for justice. But violence is never an answer. It silences dialogue, diminishes our shared humanity, and leaves pain in its wake. Charlie Kirk, like all of us, was a human being deserving of life and safety, regardless of political beliefs.

I extend my heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and all who followed his work. Let this tragedy remind us that activism, debate, and advocacy are strongest when rooted in respect, empathy, and non-violence.

We must commit to holding space for ideas, challenging one another thoughtfully, and protecting the safety of all voices in our communities.

Tahyira Savanna
