Benjamin “Ben” Taylor was born on April 22, 1952 in Brooklet, Georgia, to the late Edmund and Inez Taylor. He departed this life on Monday, September 8, 2025 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center, Statesboro, Georgia, surrounded by family and friends.
At an early age, Ben joined Little Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Brooklet, Georgia where he grew in faith and fellowship.
He was united in holy matrimony to Lorraine Taylor and together they raised a family rooted in love and unity. Ben worked faithfully for over a decade as an orderly at Bulloch Memorial Hospital, where he was admired for his dedication, reliability, and the strength he showed in caring for others.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lorraine Taylor; six sons, Benjamin Taylor, Lionel Taylor, Travis (Latoya) Taylor, James Paul Barnes, Matthew Taylor and Maurice Taylor; three brothers, Lonnie (Adell) Taylor, James Taylor and Bobby C. Taylor; thirteen grandchildren; a host of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces nephews, other relatives and friends.
