Style Spotlight: Looks, Trends & Fashion Inspiration

    Key takeaways
    • Maintains a focus on her personal website over transient social media, valuing deeper impact from posts.
    • Plans to prioritize sharing products, personal style, travel, and experiences here first, with clearer content direction.
    • Uses Pinterest for research and inspiration to shape future content and presentation.
Yall. Did I really start blogging 15 years ago? It’s so hard to believe that so much time has passed since I first created my little corner on the internet. In need of a creative outlet ( I was still unsure of what career path I wanted to pursue), a “friend” on Twitter suggested I read Cupcakes and Cashmere (one of the OG lifestyle bloggers), and my curiosity and excitement around blogging was born.

Fast forward to now, and so much has changed about blogging. Most people refer to themselves as influencers now, and many have moved away from their own platforms in favor of Social Media accounts. Social Media is fun (and honestly it takes up so much of our time), but I’m so thankful that I’ve kept this site going (even if my consistency in posting lacks at times, lol). I love to share new things and experiences, and my goal going into this 15th year is to really get back to doing it HERE first. Sometimes it feels like I’m talking to myself on Instagram when I post (seriously, why does no one really engage anymore??), but there’s something about posting here that feels different. More impactful. Even if I don’t get any comments, I still feel like what I post on here is way more helpful, and I’m so excited to get back to prioritizing this space.

I’ve been doing some research to see how I want to move forward with sharing my content, and Pinterest has really come in handy for that. I’ll still share the products I love, personal style, travel and experiences, but I’ve gotten a little more clarity around how I want it to look and I’m happy to get back started.

So cheers to 15 years. Whether you started reading my blog in 2010, or you just discovered it yesterday, I’m so happy that you’re here!
