    From Hollywood to Home: Black Voices in Entertainment

    Ayesha Curry is tuning out the noise.

    The mom of four has shared new photos of husband Steph Curry and their kids after facing backlash over her recent comments about marriage and motherhood.

    She captioned the snaps simply, “Life lately.”

    Last month, the lifestyle mogul appeared on the Call Her Daddy podcast, where she admitted that before meeting the Golden State Warriors star, she never pictured herself as a wife or mom.

    “I didn’t want kids. I didn’t want to get married. I thought I was gonna be a career girl and that’s it and then it happened so early in my life. I didn’t even have time to think about what I wanted anymore.”

    Ayesha married Steph at 22 on June 30, 2011, and found out she was pregnant just months later.

    “I was naive, very young, unpolished 22-year-old. Like I didn’t have much life experience,” she said. Within a few months of being a newlywed, she found out she was pregnant. “It was not on my bingo card.”

    Despite the whirlwind start, Ayesha said she has no regrets.

    “I just knew that I loved him, and I’d never, like, experienced anything else. I’d never felt any differently than, like, this is who I want to spend the rest of my life with. So we kind of just dove in,” she explained.

    The pair have since welcomed four children together. Ayesha later admitted that it wasn’t until her firstborn turned one that she began to refocus on her own goals.

    I spent my entire life trying to work towards something, and then it kind of just disappeared, and I didn’t think twice about it,” she said. “But after my daughter turned one, I remember there being a shift and being like, I have goals for myself. Like, this doesn’t feel right. I love being a mom, but I love doing other things too.”
