    New Traffic Signal Scheduled for Activation at Little Neck Road/John Carter Road/DOT Barn Road

    Community Notice

    Chatham County, GA (December 16, 2025) – Chatham County Engineering staff has scheduled the activation of a new traffic signal at Little Neck Road/John Carter Road/DOT Barn Road. The signal is expected to go live on Thursday, December 18, 2025, between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM.

    To prepare motorists for the upcoming change, message boards are being deployed in advance of the intersection to notify drivers of the pending signal activation. During the activation period, the contractor will also have police officers on-site to assist with directing traffic and monitoring traffic patterns to help ensure public safety.

    In addition, the contractor will complete updated pavement striping and install new traffic signage tomorrow as part of the final preparations for the signal activation.

    Motorists are urged to reduce speed and use caution when traveling through the intersection throughout the week as crews complete this work and prepare to activate the new traffic signal.
