Glow & Grow: Black Beauty, Haircare, and Skincare Tips

If there’s one word that has become the heartbeat of my life lately, it’s intentional.

Intentional living isn’t just about organizing your pantry, choosing organic, or blocking off time on a calendar (though I love all of those things). It’s about making purposeful decisions with God at the center, letting Him guide every move, big or small. This requires surrender – holding things (my decisions, my plans, my everything) with my hands open and allowing myself to walk in His will.

This past year, I’ve found myself leaning deeper into what it truly means to live a life that’s not just beautiful—but meaningful. Whether it’s in the way I take care of my body, how I steward my marriage, raise our daughters, pursue work, or simply rest—I’m learning to be still and ask:

“God, is this aligned with Your will for me?”

Sometimes that means waiting longer than I want to.
Sometimes it looks like saying “no” to good things so I can say “yes” to the right things.
And sometimes it’s being brave enough to take a faith step without seeing the full staircase.

As I continue growing, I want my brand, Blushing Black, to reflect more of that journey. The pretty things will still be here: style, beauty, home, and motherhood, but you’ll also see more conversations about living a life of purpose. Of slowing down. Of listening more closely to God. Of moving intentionally in everything we do. Because to me, the authenticity we all crave is not necessarily in the well-lit, perfectly shot, immaculately curated moments – it’s the connection we relate to in the everyday.

This is more than a shift in content. It’s a reflection of the shift in my soul. The space didn’t just get more narrow, it’s becoming more intentional about the things that matter to me in this next phase of my life.

So if you’re in a season of wanting more alignment, more peace, more purpose, I invite you to lean in with me. We’re going there together. 💗

With love & intention,
