A gathering of Black artists and neighborhood members will talk about the way forward for the humanities on
Wednesday, Feb. 26, at 6:30 p.m., on the Barnsdall Gallery Theatre, positioned at 4800 Hollywood Blvd., in Los Angeles.
The occasion, hosted by the Black Affiliation of Documentary Filmmakers West (BADWest), will carry members collectively “to attach, create, and envision a future the place our artistry shapes the world we wish to see,” stated an organizer. The occasion is free with RSVP.
The moderators are Angela Gibbs, an actor, filmmaker, neighborhood activist and BADWest member; and Tiffany Judkins, a filmmaker, founding father of Kinshipfilmworks and BADWest co- chair.
The panelists embody Sandra Evers-Manley, founder/CEO of Black Hollywood Training Useful resource Middle; Akil Bell, Black Ladies for Wellness; Rosie Lee Hooks, Watts Tower Arts Middle; Diane Robertson, Leimert Park Jazz Pageant; and different representatives from varied Black arts organizations.
