The Atlanta Regional Fee (ARC) has knowledgeable Sandy Springs it has accepted greater than $8.1 million in federal funding for town’s Path 400 and Roswell Highway North Finish Boulevard and facet path tasks.
The ARC accepted $4 million for the PATH 400 phase from Loridans to Johnson Ferry, Mayor Rusty Paul advised Tough Draft Atlanta by way of e mail on April 7. One other $3.9 million will go towards the North Finish Roswell Highway Boulevard Undertaking, with $216,000 allotted for the North Finish undertaking’s facet path from Dunwoody Place to Summer season Crossing.
“These are large wins for town and assist transfer these key tasks ahead,” Paul stated. “The native match for PATH 400 is $1 million, $900,00 for the Roswell Highway undertaking and $54,000 for the facet path, that are already funded.”
Paul stated the PATH 400 undertaking fills a significant hole within the path community to attach Sandy Springs to Atlanta’s Beltline.
The Roswell Highway and facet path tasks add to metropolis investments within the north finish of Sandy Springs that embody the Sandy Springs Police/Municipal Courtroom Advanced opening this week on Morgan Falls Highway, the brand new police fleet heart on Roswell Highway and the soon-to-open Springway Path alongside the Chattahoochee River and Orkin Lake.
In December 2024, the Sandy Springs Metropolis Council added $1 million to the PATH 400 Path undertaking and $1.2 million for the Roswell Highway North Finish Boulevard undertaking after receiving earlier funding from the ARC.
The council accepted a $20.1 million contract in Could 2024 to assemble 1.8 miles of the PATH 400 path within the metropolis. F.S. Scarbrough of Fayetteville was awarded the contract with a bid that was $4.2 million lower than the following closest bidder.
