    BODY BUTTER VS BODY OIL: WHICH ONE IS RIGHT FOR YOU?

    We’ve been making whipped butter for years, but our body oils are a fairly new addition to our line up.

    But between body oil and whipped butter, which should you choose?

    Here’s our breakdown:

    Moisture

    The body butters win here. Mango, shea and cocoa butter are unmatched in their ability to soften and moisturize rough, dry skin. One application of whipped butter can moisturize up to 24 hours – even in dry winter conditions. We’ve noticed that the body oils – though powerful – provide a shorter window of moisture (up to 12 hours.)

    Perfume

    Body oils win here. The scent lingers on the skin for far longer than whipped butter.

    Convenience

    Oils win again! A simple pump of the bottle gives you everything you need.

    Skin feel/absorption

    This one is up to the individual customer! The butters have a heavier finish that is very satisfying. But the body oils go on smooth and absorb right away.

    Layering with other products

    Body oils win again. So many customers have combined the body oil with lotion, or one of our whipped butters.

    Skin softening and inflammation reduction

    This is definitely a tie! The body oil is packed with rosehip, which has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. The oils might not moisturize as deeply as the whipped butter, but they heal and soften just as powerfully!

    Here’s what customers are saying about the body oil;

    “This oil smells wonderful, absorbs quickly, and leaves my skin soft and supple. I layer it over my unscented butter on days I feel extra dry. Great uplifting scent!” Melinda on Sandalwood & Bergamot Hair & Body Oil

    “DELIGHTFUL Fragrance. I usually stick to my Lemon Creme – but it just got steady company because I LOVE this Baby Powder Oil. I tested it on my elbows and knees, or rather on one elbow and one knee so I could compare. And the scent does not clash in combination with the Lemon; it smells Heavenly. After a few days my Baby Oil spots were definitely softer and smoother than the other 2. Which already makes this a real find, but also because this scent feels ‘luxurious’ and makes me feel ‘soft and pampered’. After my hot bath and applying Lemon all over, I now put the Baby Oil on special places.” Marsha on Baby Powder Hair & Body Oil
