How To Make Cheesecake Deviled Strawberries

Ingredients needed for the recipe

  • Fresh strawberries (cannot use frozen)
  • Cream cheese
  • Vanilla wafers
  • Sour cream
  • Cool whip
  • Powdered sugar
  • Vanilla extract

Important tips and variations for the recipe

  • You can use a 1/4 teaspoon measuring spoon to dig a hole from the middle of the strawberries, if you’d like. I don’t believe it’s needed and you’ll end up tossing out the centers.
  • The crumbled vanilla wafers are great but chocolate goes great with strawberries as well. Shaved chocolate is a great alternative.
  • Marshmallow fluff can be substituted for any marshmallow lovers. You’ll loose a little of the cheesecake essence but they’ll be much sweeter.

Making the cheesecake deviled strawberries recipe

  1. In a bowl, cream together the sour cream and the cream cheese. Then, add in the vanilla and powdered sugar. Mix until all of the ingredients are smooth. Taste here to see if you want to add more sugar to the recipe.
  2. Now, fold in the cool whip and set the bowl to the side.
  3. Slice the green leaves from each strawberry and then slice in half the long way. Also, slice a small sliver from the back so that they all lay flat on the plate. For the sake of presentation, you can use scoop the center of each strawberry as shown in the photos below.
  4. Using a piping bag, fill each strawberry in the center.
  5. Crush up the vanilla wafers then sprinkle over the top. Serve and enjoy.
