Style Spotlight: Looks, Trends & Fashion Inspiration

    Key takeaways
    • Converted into a Nordstrom Sale fanatic thanks to personal stylist Caitlin, discovered easy shopping and versatile fall wardrobe pieces.
    • Major markdowns on coats, like the Reiss Clarke Overcoat, $180 off, perfect length, lightweight and ideal fall neutral.
    • Lightweight layering pieces: Peter Millar bomber blocks wind, AG Cypher shorts have a 7" inseam and handy pockets.
    • Standout versatile tops and pants: Reiss Jefferson Colorblock Polo is unique; Open Edit linen blend pants are light and travel ready.

Can you believe I convinced Chris to write a post for us? Hehe! I’ve received many requests over the years for Chris to share some of his Nordstrom Anniversary Sale picks… especially for men’s autumn outfits and casual mens outfits! I LOVE his purchases this year… definitely read on if you’re shopping for fall outfits for guys!

I can’t believe I’m writing this, but… it’s official, Caitlin has finally converted me into a Nordstrom Sale fanatic. I shopped the Nordstrom Sale for the first time this year, and I am a believer. Generally speaking, I hate shopping – online, in store, doesn’t matter. I hate it; however, the NSale (I’m catching on to the lingo), has changed my mind. With the help of my personal stylist, Caitlin, I was able to find a lot of different pieces that fit my style, and it was so easy to shop. From polo shirts to chino shorts, linen pants to fall overcoats, the Nordstrom Sale had it all. I’m happy and excited to share some of my favorite items and looks from the NSale with you all.

Reiss Clarke Overcoat in “Mouse Melange” // Slim Fit Solid Cotton & Modal Button-Up Shirt // Amazon brown sweater (not NSALE) // similar chinos

Can you believe this coat is $180 off? For me, it’s the perfect length and it doesn’t feel too bulky. It’s also the perfect color to style with all the clothes in my closet. Dare I say I’m looking forward to fall?

Peter Millar New Hartford Bomber Jacket // Faherty The Movement Button-Up Shirt // AG Cypher Chino Shorts // Nordstrom Camden Bit Driving Loafer // Ray-Ban Pillow Sunglasses

This bomber jacket is incredibly lightweight and blocks wind really well. I didn’t own anything like this before, but I can see myself wearing it a lot in the fall. As for these chino shorts, they’re also super lightweight too and I like the size of the pockets. They have a 7″ inseam which is the perfect length for me – not too long or too short.

Reiss Jefferson Colorblock Polo // Open Edit Linen Blend Pants // Nordstrom Camden Bit Driving Loafer // Ray-Ban Pillow Sunglasses // MVMT Airhawk Chronograph Bracelet Watch

I don’t have anything like this colorblock polo – it’s such a unique piece but it’s still really versatile. I can wear it with pants, jeans, shorts… and dress up, or down. It’s way more interesting than a solid polo shirt. These linen blend pants are also a new favorite because they’re very light, I would still wear these in the summertime. In fact, I plan to bring them on vacation with us next week!

Peter Millar Pima Cotton Quarter Zip Pullover in “Navy” // AG Cypher Chino Shorts

Peter Millar is one of my favorite brands, so I knew I had to snag another zip pullover – and this one is $50 off! I love to layer these over polo shirts and button-downs for a preppy look. They’re also a great transitional piece as we head into fall.

Reiss Finch Polo // AG Cypher Chino Shorts // Nordstrom Camden Bit Driving Loafer // Ray-Ban Pillow Sunglasses

The white detail on this Reiss polo really makes it stand out! This shirt is super soft and fits my broader shoulders really well. I love how it looks paired with the AG shorts. As for these driving loafers, they fit true-to-size and are really comfortable. I have been wearing them around without socks and never got any blisters! These would make a great date night or even work shoe.

Peter Millar Pima Cotton & Modal Blend Piqué Quarter Zip Pullover // Reiss Jefferson Colorblock Polo // Open Edit Linen Blend Pants // Nordstrom Camden Bit Driving Loafer // Ray-Ban Pillow Sunglasses // MVMT Airhawk Chronograph Bracelet Watch

Yep… I got this Peter Millar quarter zip in a second color! This one is the “barley.” This color is a perfect neutral and will literally pair well with every shirt and pair of pants in my closet.

Thanks so much for joining us, Chris, and writing about fall outfits for guys! (I never thought I’d see the day LOL.) Let us know if you have any questions and I’ll make Chris answer in the comments! 😛
