With so much going on right now in the world, it can be hard to even FATHOM a date night, but life does go on and so do our relationships.  Nurturing your relationship requires time and effort and many couples are finding it hard to find time. I say, make time, even if you have to schedule it or have date night at home.

Back To School Hairstyles For Your Little Natural Girl

Because time and spaces are limited, does not mean you cannot be creative with your date night nor does it mean you shouldn’t go all out with your outfit and even your hair. Date hair can be simple yet beautiful and we have four amazing hairstyles that will take your date hair and date night to the next level.

Messy bun with bangs date hair

The messy bun is nothing new. It’s also a natural hair fave that looks great on every woman who decides to wear one. This date hair is easy to achieve with added hair if hair is too short for a big messy bun. You can wear it up high, or the side, or in the back. We say add some flirty bangs to take the messy bun to the next level.

We love this look on curly, coily hair and on straight hair.  The objective is to feature the bangs as wispy and front and center. You can even had a satin-lined headwrap to this hairstyle. Have an old twistout or braid out? Simply refresh hair with a spray bottle and some leave in and hike hair up into the messy bun allowing some hair to fall on the sides.  Keep the bangs out and viola! You will love this look, I promise.

Big Date Hair

Leaving your hair out and free is awesome and pretty sexy for date night too. Have fun with volume, depth and if your hair is swelling due to humidity, allow it to fly free!  This is also a style that is great with added hair so don’t let short hair keep you from being big. Wash and gos are ideal looks along with a voluminous Afro.

Don’t feel limited ladies. Rock a wig if you don’t feel like fooling with your own hair on date night either.  Wigs allow us to be versatile and get out the house quicker and a lot cheaper than you might think.  Again, you can had headbands and headwraps to accessorize the look even further. Basically, have fun with it.

Long Ponytail

Nothing is more dramatic than a long ponytail. When hair is natural, it gets even more elegant and steals the show from the entire look. I LOVE when natural hair women rock a long ponytail, and let me tell you, it will give you all kinds of confidence!

It can be swept on the side, pulled to the back, sitting up high or just swinging around your head. They are such a great look that can be as unique as you!  Some of us will need to add a ponytail but that is simple enough to do and can be created within a few minutes.

Hair can be slicked back or fully out mixing in with the ponytail. It’s really up to you, your skill level and what look you are going for will dictate which way you will wear it. From simple to pretty complicated, you can dress that ponytail up or down and allow it to dress your outfit up even more.

Adding barrettes, beads, braids and even beautiful string can enhance the look and take the styles to new depths of elegance.  Of course you can opt for simply straight hair flowing down your back but know you can really achieve any long ponytail look with a few parts, any hair texture and some time.

Color it up!

Can you color your hair for just one night? Yes, you can! Using hair paint like wax or chalk is a special way to do the most without doing much at all. Color can change everything without you even having to work at it because temporary hair coloring is not damaging and easy to use.

I KEEP jars of hair wax on hand at all times. You never know when you want to change it up and adding color is the simplest way to  have a little fun and variety. I have blue, silver, gold and red and each is easy to apply and easy to wash out as well.  Simply apply to all our hair, a few strands or to just the ends, allow to dry and realize a whole new look.
