Dreadful storms and rain wreak havoc in Spain’s Mallorca island – Streets, lodges flooded

Does anyone know if flights into Ibiza were cancelled on August 13th, the day BEFORE the storm hit? I have a friend that was supposed to be there from the 13th to the 23rd. I am hoping they had a warning of the coming storm and decided NOT to fly there.
