Real Housewives of Orange County drama is heating up — and the season hasn’t even fully aired yet. Emily Simpson recently stirred the pot during an appearance on E! News, questioning Gretchen Rossi’s decision to return to the franchise if she wasn’t going to confront long-time frenemy Tamra Judge.

When asked if Gretchen holds her own against Tamra, Emily didn’t hold back.

“You know, Gretchen gets scared too. Don’t let her fool you,” Emily said. “Gretchen can be strong on the red carpet. She can be very strong in interviews and in podcasts, but it took her a while to have a conversation with Tamra.”

According to Emily, the tension between Gretchen and Tamra was palpable — and Gretchen wasn’t exactly eager to address it head-on.

“I feel like I had to consistently facilitate that,” Emily explained. “And she was like, ‘Well I don’t feel like I have to,’ and I’m like, ‘Then girl, why are you here?’”

Naturally, Gretchen didn’t stay quiet. She clapped back in the comments of an AllAboutTRH podcast post, throwing some shade of her own.

“I’m not sure what show Emily was filming, but I’m not afraid of anyone,” Gretchen wrote. “Once you see the show, we will see who is afraid of who. She was there when Tamra went running multiple times.”

Looks like fans can expect more than just a few awkward conversations — the drama is already jumping from interviews to Instagram comments. Stay tuned to see how it all plays out when The Real Housewives of Orange County returns.
