SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — The Atlanta Falcons are still in first place in the NFC South thanks to the Baltimore Ravens defeating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last night.
And as fate would have it, the Falcons travel to Tampa Bay this Sunday for this second and final meeting of the regular season. Atlanta won the first matchup back on Oct. 3.
It was a Thursday Night game when both teams had a short week of preparation. Falcons head coach Raheem Morris address the dynamic of Tampa Bay having one less day to prepare for Atlanta.
“I think it’s almost an advantage for them on a short week, you know, because it’s like, okay, it evens it out a little bit, so to speak,” Morris said. “But, you know, again, you know, it’s football and it’s like the National Football League schedule as well. We all love it. So we got a program dedicated to scheduling week and like what we do and like all of this stuff. So like, it’s fun, it’s enjoyable and I can’t wait to get back out and get another and get a chance to go play again. I know our guys can either.”
Atlanta travels to Tampa Bay Sunday. The game kicks at 1 p.m.
