Georgia Southern Men’s Basketball Announces 2026-27 Non-Conference Schedule

STATESBORO – Georgia Southern men’s basketball announced its 2026-27 non-conference schedule on Tuesday afternoon, which includes five home games, six road contests, and one multi-team event.

 

The Eagles kick off the new campaign on Nov. 2, hosting Ball State for the first of two MAC/SBC Challenge games, before traveling to Atlanta for a meeting with Georgia Tech on Nov. 6. The Blue and White return to the friendly confines of the Jack and Ruth Ann Hill Convocation Center on Nov. 10, hosting in-state foe Mercer for the first time since 2020 and the first meeting between the two programs in five years.

 

Georgia Southern and the Knights of UCF rekindle a meeting on Nov. 13, as the Eagles head to Orlando for the first time since 2018. The non-conference slate rolls on as Middle Tennessee travels to Statesboro for the first time since 1990 (Nov. 17), before the Eagles head to Texas to face off against Houston Christian for the second consecutive season (Nov. 19).

 

The lone MTE on the schedule for Georgia Southern, sends the Eagles to Northern Kentucky to face off against the Norse and Bellarmine (Nov. 23-24) in Highland Heights, Kentucky. The five-game road trip continues on Nov. 28, traveling to UNC Asheville before facing off against USC Upstate on Dec. 2. Georgia Southern caps off the non-conference portion of the season with home contests against Johnson C. Smith (Dec. 5) and UNCW (Dec. 12), while adding a road trip in-between to Wofford (Dec. 8). 

 

Sun Belt Conference play begins on Dec. 16 as the Eagles welcome Coastal Carolina to the Jack and Ruth Ann Hill Convocation Center.
