Key takeaways
  • Kenan Thompson and Kevin Hart team for weekly sports-talk series Good Sports on Amazon Prime Video.
  • The 12-episode series blends sports analysis, celebrity interviews, and original comedic segments with unscripted moments.
  • Good Sports will cover NFL, NBA, neighborhood pickup games, and wide-ranging sports culture topics.
  • Series filmed in a Los Angeles-area studio, combining live sports energy with the hosts’ comedic sensibilities.
  • The show supports Amazon’s strategy to expand live and sports-related entertainment, attracting large, engaged audiences.

Amazon’s Prime Video is teaming up with comedians Kenan Thompson and Kevin Hart for a new weekly sports-talk series titled Good Sports, set to premiere on November 25 at 8 p.m. ET. New episodes will stream globally every Tuesday evening on Amazon’s platform.

The announcement follows the duo’s widely praised on-air chemistry during their 2024 Paris Olympics commentary special on NBC’s Peacock. Building on that success, Thompson and Hart are reuniting to bring their signature humor and quick wit to a 12-episode run that blends sports analysis, celebrity interviews, and original comedic segments.

Good Sports will cover a broad range of topics—from major leagues such as the NFL and NBA to neighborhood pickup games—while offering exclusive interviews with athletes, entertainers, and sports personalities. Viewers can also expect spontaneous, unscripted moments reminiscent of their viral Olympics commentary, including Hart’s now-famous quip about Team USA’s boat in the opening ceremony: “Look at this. Give us your rich, your well-fed, your high jumpers.”

The series arrives as Amazon continues to expand its footprint in live and sports-related entertainment. As streaming platforms increasingly compete for advertising revenue, sports programming remains a key driver of large, engaged audiences. Good Sports aligns with Amazon’s broader strategy to integrate humor, culture, and live sports into its growing content portfolio.

“Kenan and I are bringing our own playbook for Good Sports, and that’s a guaranteed win,” said Kevin Hart in a Variety interview , who also serves as an executive producer. “This show gives us a chance to celebrate sports culture in a way that’s fresh, unfiltered, and full of laughs.”

The series will be filmed at a Los Angeles-area studio, combining Hart and Thompson’s comedic sensibilities with the energy and unpredictability of live sports commentary.
