Lacy Redway has long been one of fashion’s most in-demand hairstylists, known for transforming hair into a medium of both beauty and storytelling. The Jamaican-born, New York-raised creative is as celebrated for her over-the-top braided crowns and larger-than-life textured updos as she is for sleek, slicked-back buns, sculpted waves, and every shin  style in between. It’s a range that has made her a trusted stylist for such celebs as Serena Williams, Tessa Thompson, Yara Shahidi, and Simone Biles, as well as a leading force backstage at New York Fashion Week.

For years, we’ve watched Redway slay as lead hairstylist and creative heartbeat of TRESemmé, helping define the brand’s runway identity and bridging the gap between high-fashion looks and real-world accessibility. This season, she brought that tszuj to Christian Siriano’s Spring/Summer 2026 show, where she debuted her latest creation: the “Liquid Wave.”

For looks without Siriano’s oversized headpieces, Redway’s “Liquid Wave” offered a sculptural update to the classic slick-back bun, weaving the designer’s Parisian influences into a modern, high-shine silhouette. The wave framed the face with sleek precision before melting seamlessly into a bun, creating a look that felt bold yet timeless.

The look captured the elegance of Siriano’s gowns while remaining accessible enough to inspire everyday wear. “For Siriano, we wanted a look that was sleek yet striking—a sculpted wave that feels both modern and timeless,” shared Redway. “It’s all about that balance of high-shine polish with clean, fluid lines.”  The dewy tresses were complemented with graphic liners and bold lips painted by Glibert for MAC Cosmetics.

Backstage, Redway and her team worked with TRESemmé’s newly launched A-List Collection to serve up a reflective gloss under the runway lights while maintaining flexibility and movement.

“The TRESemmé A-List Collection Lacquer Shine Spray was key for locking in the slick finish, while still allowing the wave to move with effortless grace,” she said. “If you’re looking to unlock major A-List energy on and off the runway, this is my secret. It’s all about providing high-fashion hair without breaking the bank.”

Redway’s Liquid Wave ‘do is also part of TRESemmé’s wider “From FOMO to Front Row” campaign where she is serving up signature ‘dos for a series of show’s sponsored by the brand, including Cynthia Rowley, LUAR, Prabal Gurung, and more.

For Redway, this latest moment reaffirms her gift for creating looks that carry equal weight on the runway and in culture. Each season, she turns fashion week into a stage not just for clothes, but for the transformative power of beauty.
