
Ms. Lakeshia Aurelia Felton entered eternal rest, Thursday evening on Christmas Day, December 25, 2025 at Saint Joseph’s Hospital as her mother and father sat with her at her bedside.
- Residence: Lived the last nine years in Savannah, contributing to community through healthcare roles.
- Career: Worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and held various nursing positions, known for caring nature.
- Family: Survived by parents Jeffery E. Sheppard and Aurelia Henry-Sheppard, two sons, a sister, grandmother, and many relatives.
- Background: Born in Columbus, Georgia, educated in Seoul, South Korea, earned an associate degree; well-traveled and culturally aware.
Lakeshia was born June 22, 1979, in Columbus, Georgia. She was a graduate of Seoul, South Korea (DOD School System), Class of 1998. After high school, Lakeshia successfully obtained an Associates Degree in higher education. Her parents travelled the world while both being on Active Duty in the United States Army. They traveled to many countries thereby, Lakeshia was culturally well-rounded. Ultimately, she spent the last nine years living in Savannah. Lakeshia worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) among various other positions within the nursing field. She was a people-person; a great story-teller and was loved by many.
She is survived by her loving parents, Mr. Jeffery E. Sheppard (Newberry, SC) and Mrs. Aurelia Henry-Sheppard (Columbus, GA); two sons, Prince-Ja’Merriqua Eugene Felton (Seoul South Korea) and Au’ Miracle-Da’Swan Eugene Felton, of Savannah; she had one sister, Brittney Aurelia Sheppard-Blocker (Jamall) of Albany, GA., grandmother, Mrs. Eugene Doris Sheppard-Mincey of Newberry, SC; two pets (a puppy/Gizmo and a cat/Sushi) who she adored; and a host of other relatives and friends.
