Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Republic Skilled Baseball League (LIDOM) expressed deep sorrow over the loss of life of former Main League Baseball pitcher Octavio Dotel, who died in an ambulance whereas being transported to a hospital after being trapped within the tragic collapse on the Jet Set nightclub early Tuesday morning.
In an official assertion, LIDOM honored Dotel as a member of the Dominican Sports activities Corridor of Fame and acknowledged his contributions to Dominican baseball.
Dotel had been attending a celebration hosted by merengue singer Rubby Pérez, alongside fellow former gamers Esteban Germán and Tony Blanco. Whereas Dotel was rescued from the rubble, he sadly succumbed to his accidents en path to the hospital.
