Maroon Tiger Releases Centennial Version after two years out of print


On Friday, February 21, the Maroon Tiger workers gave out their first printed version of the Morehouse School faculty newspaper in two years. Based in 1898 because the Athenaeum, and finally renamed the Maroon Tiger in 1925, the campus paper is celebrating 100 years of being the organ of pupil expression at Morehouse.

Editor-in-Chief Colin Royal appreciates the time, expertise, and dedication of his workers in placing the centennial version collectively. He acknowledges the dearth of campus protection over the previous two years and hopes that college students can proceed to acknowledge and recognize their campus publication.

“The Maroon Tiger shouldn’t be useless. We’re nonetheless right here. We’re nonetheless kicking,” Royal stated. “We serve our group, we serve Morehouse School and we do it gracefully. We do it in a manner that brings genuine information again to the campus.”
