Markle has made minimalist and clean beauty her signature over the years, starting with her pared-back 2018 royal wedding makeup. Both looks were created by Markle’s longtime makeup artist Daniel Martin, who shared a breakdown of the products he used for the Balenciaga show after an overwhelming response from fans online.

In an Instagram reel, Martin shared that he mixed Markle’s foundation with Tatcha’s The Longevity Skin Strength & Age Delay Serum to “add another level of radiance that just made her look even more juicy and glowy.” Tatcha is a longtime favorite skin care brand for Markle and Martin—it was used to prep Markle’s skin for both her royal wedding and her PFW debut.

For foundation, Martin used the glowy Orce Cosmetics Come Closer Serum Foundation and applied the product with his hands to get a seamless and natural finish. “When I apply foundation I’m applying it like a massage, like I do with my skin care,” Martin said in the video. “I’ll go in with a brush to add more coverage and then I use a sponge to blend it out, but I never apply foundation with a sponge and I never apply foundation directly to the brush to the face.”

To keep her glow, Martin added Paris Berlin Poudre Minerale pressed powder only to the T-zone “to knock out the shine in the middle of the forehead and around the nose.” For the cheeks, he used the Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate Contour Duo as a bronzer, then added the Tatcha The Serum Stick Line-Smoothing Treatment & Touch Up Balm on top as a highlighter for “added radiance.”

On the eyes, Martin created a “halo effect” with brown eye shadow and finished with a MAC mascara that Markle ended up “loving.” Lastly, he lined the lips with Makeup Forever Artist Color Pencil Longwear Lip Liner before applying Tom Ford Slim Lip Color Shine in Iconic Nude, a peachy-pink shade, for the perfect minimal lip.

“We just wanted to keep everything light, fresh, radiant,” Martin said of the look. “She just flew in and your skin gets dehydrated from the plane, so I wanted to bring some hydration back into her skin and add bring life to it.”
