    • The Healthy Woman franchise, founded by Dr. Jocelyn D. Slaughter, welcomes Dr. Twyner as the new Conyers location within metro Atlanta.

Dr. Maesha Twyner, MD, MPH, a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist (OBGYN) with over a decade of clinical experience, is excited to announce the upcoming grand opening of The Healthy Woman OBGYN Conyers on August 19, 2026. The new practice will serve women in the Conyers and greater metro Atlanta community, offering comprehensive gynecological and women’s health care in a spa-like, patient-centered environment.

The practice is currently scheduling appointments ahead of its August 19, 2026, grand opening, with Dr. Twyner beginning to see patients in July and early August.

“I want every woman who walks through our doors to feel empowered, relaxed, and truly known by her provider,” Dr. Twyner said. “Healthcare should never feel like something to dread. My goal is to bring back the deep, trusting patient-provider relationship and to make sure that women in Conyers and the surrounding community have access to the highest level of compassionate, expert care, because that access is a fundamental right, not a privilege.”

The Healthy Woman OBGYN Conyers is intentionally designed as an intimate setting with one physician and one nurse practitioner to ensure every patient receives thorough, personalized care. The office features private consultation rooms and a restorative environment built around the belief that the patient-provider relationship should feel unhurried and trusting.

The practice will provide a full spectrum of gynecological and women’s health services, including annual wellness exams, breast exams, cervical cancer screening and treatment, contraception counseling, infertility evaluation, pregnancy and high-risk pregnancy care, management of polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), hormone replacement therapy, pelvic pain management, fibroid management, and minimally invasive surgeries such as laparoscopy, hysterectomy, and ovarian cystectomy.

Dr. Twyner’s distinguished academic and clinical background positions her as one of the region’s leading OBGYNs. She graduated summa cum laude from Xavier University with a B.S. in Chemistry, then earned both her Medical Degree and a Master of Public Health from Emory University. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Morehouse School of Medicine, where she served as Administrative Chief Resident in 2017.

Dr. Twyner specializes in high-risk obstetrics, fertility management, perimenopausal and menopausal conditions, and minimally invasive surgical techniques, including certification in the DaVinci Robot systems.

The Healthy Woman OBGYN Conyers is the newest location in The Healthy Woman franchise, a metro Atlanta healthcare brand founded by Dr. Jocelyn D. Slaughter, a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist. The franchise offers a unique approach that blends Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Primary Care services with a patient-centered philosophy. Existing locations include OBGYN Snellville, OBGYN Lawrenceville, PCP Lawrenceville, and  PCP Atlanta East.

“We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Twyner and the Conyers community to The Healthy Woman family,” said Dr. Slaughter. “Dr. Twyner embodies everything our brand stands for — clinical excellence, deep compassion, and an unwavering commitment to health equity. We believe that every woman deserves a provider who truly knows her, and Dr. Twyner is exactly the physician to deliver that experience in Conyers.”

The Healthy Woman OBGYN Conyers, located at 2395 Wall Street, SE, Suite 180, Conyers, GA 30013, is currently accepting new patients and scheduling appointments. To schedule an appointment or for more information, new patients can call 770-809-1100 or visit https://www.thehealthywoman.com/.
