“When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure” – Author Unknown

PORT ROYAL, SC- The Management and Staff of THE SERENITY MORTUARY – HISTORIC BEAUFORT CHAPEL, alongside the Garvin Family announce the passing of Mr. Stanley B. Garvin, 67, of Port Royal, SC  who passed away on Tuesday June 24, 2025, at the Beaufort Memorial Hospital, Beaufort, SC. He is the Beloved husband of Mrs. Candie Garvin, and the son of the Late Deacon Woodrow and Deaconess Josephine Garvin.

Stanley was a kind and generous man, known for helping and feeding anyone in need—he truly never met a stranger. He was famous for his bread pudding, red rice, and potato salad, and together with his son, Stanley, he proudly took charge of cooking for every family reunion.

He enjoyed watching wrestling, spending time in the yard, and was a big fan of the TV show Charm. Stanley also had a great sense of humor and loved playing practical jokes with family and friends. He had a special bond with his beloved chihuahua, Precious.

Above all, Stanley was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and a cherished figure in the lives of many.

***Services celebrating the life of Mr. Stanley B. Garvin are under the direction of THE SERENITY MORTUARY – HISTORIC BEAUFORT CHAPEL, we are honored to serve his family and we ask that you please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.***
