ATHENS, Ga. (WSAV) — The matchup everyone is talking about in college football happens in approximately 24 hours: No 2 Georgia travels to Tuscaloosa for a showdown with No. 4 Alabama.
This game did not need any additional hype. However, Georgia players still remember what Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe said after the Tide defeated Georgia, 27-24, in last year’s SEC title game and knocked them from the ranks of the unbeatens and out of the college football playoff.
Additionally, there are questions surrounding the Dogs’ offense after barely escaping Lexington with 13-12 win the last time they played a game.
“Getting better at the run game,” senior wide receiver Arian Smith. “Obviously, you have to run the ball to throw the ball. If I can get better at blocking and things like that, I’ll be able to beat him on the man-to-man coverage. He thinks I’m coming up to block him and I run past him. I would probably say just catching more deep balls of course.”
The game between Georgia and Alabama is Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
