Style Spotlight: Looks, Trends & Fashion Inspiration

    Key takeaways
    • Nordstrom Anniversary Sale features discounted, high-quality fall staples, like jackets, sweaters, and basics you will wear all season.
    • Jeans were the standout this year; high-waist and retro styles flatter many figures and mostly fit true-to-size.
    • JW Pei bags, calf hair styles, and statement jewelry were big steals, affordable designer-inspired pieces that elevate fall looks.
    • Most items fit TTS, but try sizing down for baggier denim and buy favorites early because many pieces sell out fast.

Helloooo and welcome to this year’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Guide! I shopped in store yesterday and wanted to get this blog post up as soon as possible for those of you who are shopping today!

If you’re unsure what the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is, just know that it’s basically a fall sale in July – these are the pieces I end up wearing all fall and winter long. Not only are they discounted prices, but they’re high quality items from brands you trust. Every year I spend hours shopping the sale, trying everything on, comparing sizing, and narrowing down the pieces that are actually worth buying. My goal is to help you shop smarter, avoid the overwhelm, and find the best Nordstrom Anniversary Sale deals before they sell out.

I was really, really happy with my purchases this year! In particular, I fell in love with almost EVERY SINGLE pair of jeans I tried on from the sale. In contrast, I didn’t really love the dresses. You’ll notice that I only bought TWO dresses this year! If you have any question at all about any of the items I bought, please let me know in the comments! I will be responding to comments and questions there.

My sizing and height for reference: I often get asked my height and normal size to help you decide what size to order. I normally wear a size XS and a 25 in denim. If I say something is “TTS,” that means “true-to-size” and means that I just got my usual size. As for height, I am 5’3 and a half (that extra half inch matters! 😉 )

Without further ado… here are my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2026 picks!

    • Sizing: Fits TTS. I’m wearing a US 4
    • Quality: Barbour is known for their amazing quality, and this jacket is no different! I love how this year’s jacket is an update on their classic quilted one. The oversized corduroy collar is super trendy and I LOVE the color of the brushed gold hardware. The classic cream color ensures it will pair well with any outfit. This is hands down my favorite jacket I snagged from the NSALE this year!!
    • Price: Originally $320, marked down to $199.99
    • Sizing: Fits TTS. I’m wearing a S
    • Quality: This top looks so different in person than it does online (I wouldn’t have looked twice at it online!). I loved it so much that I ended up getting it in all three colors. It’s a great staple piece to have in your closet for all seasons, as it looks amazing by itself or layered under cardigans and jackets. I like to wear mine so that it looks ruched at the bottom!
    • I bought this top in two colors! It is the perfect staple/basic for every season!
    • Price: Originally $35, marked down to $22.99
    • Sizing: Fit TTS, I’m wearing a 25
    • Quality: These are my favorite pair of jeans in the sale this year! They were one of the first to sell out last year and I’m so glad they brought them back in a darker wash. They have a super high waist and the faded wash paired well with every single top I tried on. I am 5’3 and they are a little long for me so I am wearing heels with them, but they are the most flattering jeans in the sale by far!
    • Price: Originally $198, marked down to $131.99
    • Quality: I have said it before and I’ll say it again, JW Pei is one of my absolute favorite handbag brands. I think their handbags are such good quality, look so chic (many are designer-inspired), but at incredibly reasonable prices. I honestly wasn’t sure about this one online, but I truly love the color in person. It’s a muted green with gold undertones – perfect for fall!
    • Price: Originally $159, marked down to $104.99
    • Sizing: TTS, I’m wearing an XS
    • Quality: Another great jacket from the Nordstrom Sale! My mom actually tried this on first and I loved it so much on her, I had to have it. It’s made of supple faux suede, has a relaxed fit and a really flattering elastic waist. I like just as much when it’s zipped up, too! This will also bring a lot of warmth in the fall.
    • Price: Originally $149, marked down to $99.99
    • Price: $49.99 (not included in the NSALE, but a great staple piece to layer with)
    • Sizing: Fits TTS, but they have a baggier fit. I’m wearing a 25.
    • Quality: These jeans are a very dark wash with zero distressing, which I love for fall! They fit on the baggier side but I kept my true size (if you want these to be more fitted, I would size down one size). These have a retro feel and look SO good with a belt (I tried on a few belts with them in the dressing room!). The price is also REALLY good for these jeans – they feel really sturdy and nicely made. They are long on me, so I do have to wear heels!
    • Price: Originally $178, marked down to $123.99
    • Quality: The IT necklace of the Nordstrom Sale!! I love how this cubic zirconia pendant is oversized because it really makes a statement (but it’s still tasteful at the same time). The braided cord is very trendy and I love the dark brown color because it will go with so many outfits in the fall. This is also great quality for the price!
    • Price: Originally $65, marked down to $34.99
    • Quality: The quality of this bag is sooo good – it’s made with genuine calf hair, and you can tell! I was expecting it to be bigger in person, but it’s actually the perfect size. This bag is the perfect way to embrace the “ziger” trend this fall, and will pair well with any neutral outfit.
    • Price: Originally $298, marked down to $198.99
    • Sizing: Fits TTS, I’m wearing my normal size 7
    • Quality: These are the PERFECT booties!! They’re just the right height to give me a boost while also remaining comfortable to wear. The pointed toe is very elongating. You’ll notice that they paired well with EVERY single pair of wide leg jeans that I bought from the sale – and they’re the perfect height to wear with those jeans, as well!
    • Price: Originally $179, marked down to $119.99
    • Sizing: TTS, I’m wearing an XS
    • Quality: This is SUCH a good cable knit sweater and you can’t beat the price. I will definitely share what it looks like on (probably on my Instastories), but the neck is wide enough that you can make it off-the-shoulder if you want. I also adore how it looks tied around the shoulders, like I’m showing above. Overall, it’s just a great staple piece that you can wear multiple ways in the fall!
    • Price: Originally $59.50, marked down to $38.99
    • Price: $49.99 (not included in the NSALE, but a great staple piece to layer with)
    • Sizing: Fits TTS, but they have a baggier fit.
    • Price: Originally $178, marked down to $123.99

The braided cord is very trendy and I love the dark brown color because it will go with so many outfits in the fall. This is also great quality for the price!
    • Price: Originally $65, marked down to $34.99
    • Quality: This was definitely my favorite bag that I picked up from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I love the classic construction (it reminds me of an Hermes bag!) and the gold hardware. The faux suede is really supple while the chocolate brown color is absolute *perfection* for the fall season. It’s also big enough to fit my phone, wallet, lipstick, keys and a snack – haha.
    • Price: Originally $149, marked down to $98.99
    • Sizing: Fits TTS, I’m wearing my normal size 7
    • Quality: These are the PERFECT booties!! They’re just the right height to give me a boost while also remaining comfortable to wear. The pointed toe is very elongating. You’ll notice that they paired well with EVERY single pair of wide leg jeans that I bought from the sale – and they’re the perfect height to wear with those jeans, as well!
    • Price: Originally $179, marked down to $119.99
    • Sizing: TTS, I’m wearing an XS
    • Quality: I love striped button-ups paired with jeans, but I thought it would be fun to style this another way – over a lace cami! This is 100% a piece that I will start wearing now in the summer – I think it would look cute with denim shorts – but will also continue wearing into the fall season. I can also see it styled under sweaters! This one in particular is really great quality because it’s Madewell.
    • Price: Originally $118, marked down to $79.99
    • Price: $49.99 (not included in the NSALE, but a great staple piece to layer with)
    • Sizing: Fits TTS. I’m wearing a 25.
    • Quality: These Polo Ralph Lauren jeans are very trendy – they’re intentionally baggy (yes, even in the crotch area) which I personally think is so cute and right on trend. The wash of these is really pretty and I love that they are the perfect length to wear with cute flats.
    • Price: Originally $228, marked down to $149.99
    • Sizing: Fits TTS, I’m wearing my normal size 7
    • Quality: I fell in love with these perforated mary jane flats and actually bought them in three different colors! The quality is so good and your foot kind of slides into them like butter. The big buckle on the side looks trendy for fall, while the perforated material means that your feet can still breathe. This is definitely a shoe I will go ahead and start wearing now in the summer months!
    • Price: Originally $129, marked down to $84.99
    • Quality: The quality of this bag is sooo good – it’s made with genuine calf hair, and you can tell! I was expecting it to be bigger in person, but it’s actually the perfect size. This bag is the perfect way to embrace the “ziger” trend this fall, and will pair well with any neutral outfit.
    • Price: Originally $298, marked down to $198.99
    • Sizing: TTS, I’m wearing an XS. It has an oversized fit.
    • Quality: I never thought I’d be the type of girl to wear a black leather jacket, but here we are! I’m obsessed with this “cool girl look” for fall, and this faux leather jacket is the perfect way to embrace the trend without breaking the bank. I can’t believe the price of this jacket, the faux leather feels so real and is nice and heavy! This jacket does have an oversized fit, so keep that in mind if you’re going to order.
    • Price: Originally $99.50, marked down to $65.99
    • Sizing: Fits TTS.
    • Price: Originally $35, marked down to $22.99
    • Sizing: Fits TTS, but they have a baggier fit. I’m wearing a 25.
    • Quality: Low rise jeans are the “it” style for this season, but as a mom of three kids, I don’t love how they look on me. However, I do love this pair! These were the only low-rise jeans I bought from the sale. The dark wash keeps them very classy, and although they’re baggy, I still find them super flattering. I can see me wearing these a ton in the fall!
    • Price: Originally $265, marked down to $179.99
    • Quality: I love the polished nickel on this black suede belt – it’s a great staple piece for the fall and winter!
    • Price: Originally $118, marked down to $69.99
    • Quality: This is SUCH a cool handbag! I feel like a different, cooler version of myself when I’m carrying it. It’s croc embossed faux leather with a cool geometric shape. It’s super roomy inside for all your essentials!
    • Price: Originally $129, marked down to $84.99
    • Price: $459 (not included in the NSALE)
    • Sizing: Fits TTS, wearing size 7
    • Quality: I love that these pumps have a kitten heel, perfect for when you don’t need much height. They’re very comfortable and easy to walk in, while the animal print is the perfect way to try out the trend without making a huge commitment.
    • Price: Originally $89.95, marked down to $49.99
    • Sizing: Fits TTS. I’m wearing a S
    • Quality: I love the pink and burgundy colors in the oversized sweater – it’s so fun for fall! It looks so cute when worn over the shoulders to give a little pop of color to any outfit. It’s super soft and cozy – not itchy at all, and you know it’s good quality because it’s Madewell.
    • Price: Originally $148, marked down to $99.99
    • Sizing: Fits TTS. I’m wearing a S

    • Price: Originally $149, marked down to $98.99
    • Quality: These Ray-Ban sunglasses are very reminiscent of the popular Miu Miu oval sunglasses – but without the crazy price tag! I love the soft brown hue of these and the *slightly* violet lenses – such a unique and fun find for fall. I have a petite face so these fit my face perfectly!
    • Price: Originally $148, marked down to $99.99
    • Quality: What a fun necklace for an even better price! Collar necklaces like this one are very on-trend, and you can even take the pendant off if you want to wear the collar necklace by itself. The diamond is just the right size to make a statement without being too big.
    • Price: Originally $48, marked down to $31.99
    • Sizing: TTS, I’m wearing an XS
    • Quality: The quality of this sweater is INSANE! When you see it up close, you realize how pretty it is and how much detail is stitched into this sweater. It is super versatile – here I have it styled for fall, but I can also see myself wearing it now with denim shorts! I also want to point out the pretty, delicate ruffle on the sleeve.
    • Price: Originally $199, marked down to $129.99
    • Sizing: These run a size small. I bought them in a 26.
    • Quality: Brown denim is going to be in this fall! I love the little pockets.
    • Price: Originally $298, marked down to $198.99
    • Quality: I almost didn’t buy this bag, but I’m so happy I did – I ended up styling it with quite a few outfits when I got home! It’s such a cute, mini size and adds the perfect pop of chocolate brown to any outfit. I have said it before and will say it again, but JW Pei makes THE BEST handbags that are so chic and designer-inspired – I have several bags from this brand that have held up for years!
    • Price: Originally $109, marked down to $72.99
    • Sizing: Fits TTS, I’m wearing my normal size 7
    • Quality: These are the PERFECT booties!! They’re just the right height to give me a boost while also remaining comfortable to wear. The pointed toe is very elongating. You’ll notice that they paired well with EVERY single pair of wide leg jeans that I bought from the sale – and they’re the perfect height to wear with those jeans, as well!
    • Price: Originally $179, marked down to $119.99
    • Sizing: Fits TTS, I got an XS
    • Quality: This top is a little pricey but it is a staple that you will style over and over again. Usually button-up shirts are pretty long, but this one is cropped to the PERFECT length – you don’t even need to tuck it in! I love the unique color combination because it can truly be styled for every season.
    • Price: Originally $268, marked down to $175.99
    • Sizing: Fits TTS, I got a 25
    • Quality: These are the only white jeans I got from the sale! I needed a new pair of white jeans desperately and these are perfectly on trend with wide legs. They’re not see-through at all, and they’re not too white so you could definitely wear them into fall and winter. I really love them paired with dark brown accessories!
    • Price: Originally $249, marked down to $165.99
    • Sizing: Fits TTS, I got my normal size 7
    • Quality: These are the prettiest kitten heels with a dainty little bow on the toes. They’re a perfect neutral color to pair well with virtually ANY outfit – and because the heel is not too high, they’re really comfortable to wear!
    • Price: Originally $135 – 150, marked down to $89.99 – 99.99
    • Quality: This leather shoulder bag reminds me of the 70s for some reason, it’s so fun and I love it! It’s a very pretty caramel shade, with a big gold ring and magnetic closure. It’s VERY spacious inside, and would make a good mom bag for that very reason!
    • Price: Originally $298, marked down to $198.99
    • Quality: This belt has beautiful gold hardware and will be a wardrobe staple in the fall. I love the gorgeous caramel color and can see it pairing well with similar-colored booties and handbags.

    • Sizing: TTS, I’m wearing a size XS
    • Quality: You guys are not going to believe this, but I’m actually wearing this dress backwards (yes, on purpose!!!). I LOVE everything about this dress, and especially the fact that you can wear it two ways! It’s made of the prettiest lace that can be worn now (with sandals) or into the fall (with boots).
    • Price: Originally $109, marked down to $72.99
    • Quality: The IT necklace of the Nordstrom Sale!! I love how this cubic zirconia pendant is oversized because it really makes a statement (but it’s still tasteful at the same time). • Price: Originally $269, marked down to $179.99
    • Sizing: Fits TTS, I got an XS
    • Quality: This is the perfect transitional sweater since it’s short-sleeve. I love that it’s made with organic cotton – and it’s Paige so you know it’s going to be good quality. The color in person is a really gorgeous green!
    • Price: Originally $209, marked down to $139.99
    • Quality: This calf hair belt is the perfect way to add a little animal print to your wardrobe, without making too much of a statement!

    • Sizing: Fits TTS, I’m wearing an XS
    • Quality: Yes, this jacket is a splurge!! However, it’s SOOO good in person. You can tell it’s a designer jacket and made of real suede! I love seeing the gold buttons and zippers inside and, of course, I love the season’s hottest hue: chocolate brown.
    • Price: Originally $649, marked down to $399.99
    • Sizing: TTS, I’m wearing a S. It’s a more cropped style.

    • Price: Originally $298, marked down to $198.99
    • Sizing: TTS, I’m wearing a US size 2, which fits like an XS
    • Quality: I only bought TWO dresses from the NSALE this year, and this was one of them! This dress is so flattering and hugs you in all the right places (it is stretchy so it also moves with you). I love that it’s off the shoulder and shows just a sliver of shoulder – it’s very sexy while somehow classy at the same time. I would totally wear this as a wedding guest to a fall wedding – or to work or happy hour or a date! There are so many possibilities with this dress.
    • Price: Originally $169, marked down to $109.99
    • Not included in the NSALE but linked here!
    • Sizing:Fits TTS, wearing size 7

    • Sizing: TTS, I’m wearing a size small. It has a baggier fit.
    • Quality: People were LITERALLY fighting over this cardigan in the dressing rooms – I had someone try to steal it off our cart, haha! It will definitely sell out fast. It’s a very fun piece with lots of colors – I love the 3d flowers and the pops of pink, red and even light blue.
    • Price: Originally $298, marked down to $198.99
    • Price: $19.50 (not included in the NSALE, but a great staple piece to layer with)
    • Sizing: Runs large. I sized down to a 24.
    • Quality: The jeans run large but they are the perfect length to wear with flats. They have a barrel leg fit and are also super lightweight and soft – they ALMOST feel like sweatpants!
    • Price: Originally $288, marked down to $192.99
    • Sizing: TTS, I’m wearing size XS
    • Quality: I originally did not want to try this on, but I’m so happy I did! I absolutely love this lattice lace top. It’s such a unique piece and is beautifully detailed up-close. You could wear a camisole underneath, but I’m wearing a nude bra and it looks just fine!
    • Price: Originally $99.50, marked down to $65.99
    • Price: $268. Not included in the NSALE, but my all-time favorite pair of jeans that I’ve been wearing for the past few weeks!
    • Price: Originally $109, marked down to $72.99
    • Sizing: TTS, I’m wearing a size 7
    • Quality: You already know I love these flats, I’ve been hyping them up ever since I saw them in the Nordstrom Sale preview! They’re absolutely GORGEOUS in person!! I love that they’re quite unique, with rhinestones and animal print, but they look almost like a neutral when paired with an outfit. They’re super comfortable too, as I wore them almost all day in the dressing room.
    • Price: Originally $450, marked down to $299.99
    • Sizing: TTS, I’m wearing an XS
    • Quality: This is the cutest lounge top and SO, so soft! This pajama henley does not look like pajamas at all, you could totally wear it as a top if you wanted.
    • Price: Originally $78, marked down to $49.99
    • Sizing: TTS, I’m wearing an XS
    • Quality: These lounge pants are so flattering the way that they drape and fall on your legs. The top is very unique, with ruching on the sides and a drawstring in the middle. I absolutely love how they look, but love how they feel even more! They’re super soft and comfortable.
    • Price: Originally $98, marked down to $64.99
    • Sizing: TTS, I’m wearing a size S
    • Quality: This lace trim camisole is the perfect length because it’s not too short, but it’s not too long either! It has slits in both sides and would be perfect for a date night. I’m tempted to get it in the other two colors, as well!
    • Price: Originally $69.50, marked down to $45.99
    • Sizing: Fits TTS, I’m wearing a 25
    • Quality: These are the ultimate “cool girl” jeans, with a super cool wash and flattering bootcut legs. These aren’t super long, so I could wear them with kitten heels!
    • Price: Originally $278 , marked down to $185.99
    • Quality: This is SUCH a cool handbag! I feel like a different, cooler version of myself when I’m carrying it. It’s croc embossed faux leather with a cool geometric shape. It’s super roomy inside for all your essentials!
    • Price: Originally $129, marked down to $84.99
    • Sizing: Fits TTS, wearing size 7
    • Quality: I love that these pumps have a kitten heel, perfect for when you don’t need much height. They’re very comfortable and easy to walk in, while the animal print is the perfect way to try out the trend without making a huge commitment.
    • Price: Originally $89.95, marked down to $49.99
    • Sizing: It fits TTS, I’m wearing an XS. It does look oversized.
    • Quality: I’m really into the rugby shirt trend right now! This one is absolutely beautiful with a crisp white collar and a fun striped pattern. I could totally see it styled with shorts or white pants for now!
    • Price: Originally $148, marked down to $95.99
    • Quality: his belt has beautiful gold hardware and will be a wardrobe staple in the fall. I love the gorgeous caramel color and can see it pairing well with similar-colored booties and handbags.
    • Price: Originally $108, marked down to $71.99
    • Sizing: Fits TTS, but they have a baggier fit.
    • Price: Originally $178, marked down to $123.99
    • Sizing: Fits TTS, I’m wearing my normal size 7
    • Quality: These are the PERFECT booties!! They’re just the right height to give me a boost while also remaining comfortable to wear. The pointed toe is very elongating. You’ll notice that they paired well with EVERY single pair of wide leg jeans that I bought from the sale – and they’re the perfect height to wear with those jeans, as well!
    • Price: Originally $179, marked down to $119.99

I’d love to know… what is your favorite item from the sale this year?! You can check out all of my top NSALE picks from every category here, as well as an honest and detailed review of our baby gear that’s included in the sale here!

    xoxo
