Piedmont Fayette Offers Nurse Camp This Summer

Current high school students who are interested in learning about the nursing field and opportunities for nursing school should apply to the Piedmont Fayette Hospital Summer Nurse Camp, June 2-4. This fun, free, and interactive camp will allow high school students to participate in a wide variety of activities including a tour of the hospital campus, shadowing clinical staff, exploring opportunities for employment post-graduation, meeting college faculty and exploring college options, and learning some new skills.

“The students participating in the camp will learn how to check blood pressure manually, infection prevention and proper hand hygiene, and basic wound care and first aid treatment,” said Halea Caudill, Residency Coordinator at Piedmont Fayette.

The camp is open to rising juniors and seniors. It will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., June 2-4 at Piedmont Fayette.

Students who are interested in attending the camp should email [email protected] for an application. The deadline to apply is March 21, 2025. Selected participants will be notified of their acceptance by April 1.
