    Key takeaways
    • Arthur Zwane is reportedly top candidate to join Bafana Bafana coaching staff, nicknamed 10111.
    • Mosimane has built a high-performance team led by assistants Musi Matlaba (analysis) and Kabelo Rangoaga (conditioning).
    • The arrival of Morena Ramoreboli replaces Helman Mkhalele, adding Southern African experience and tactical flexibility.
    • Arthur Zwane progressed from Kaizer Chiefs academy to senior roles, then led AmaZulu FC to sixth place and earned extension.

Mosimane’s Bafana Bafana technical team is not yet complete. A new coach looks to add more hands to his backroom staff.

Arthur Zwane’s name has reportedly moved to the top of the list, According to iDiski Times‘ leading reporter Sinethemba Makonco.

The coach, affectionately known as “10111”, could now be handed a major opportunity with the national team.

BAFANA BAFANA’S NEW TECHNICAL TEAM IS TAKING SHAPE

Mosimane has moved quickly to assemble a high-performance backroom team at Bafana Bafana. At the heart of his setup are long-time assistants Musi Matlaba and Kabelo Rangoaga.

Matlaba serves as an assistant coach with a strong focus on match analysis, data interpretation and player-tracking metrics.

Rangoaga, meanwhile, combines his assistant coaching responsibilities with a focus on conditioning and fitness.

Although both have traditionally been associated with analysis and physical preparation, Mosimane has stressed that they have continued their coaching education.

They are therefore able to operate as fully qualified coaches within his technical structure.

The latest major addition came with the arrival of Morena Ramoreboli.

The highly regarded coach left his position as head coach of the Botswana national team, known as The Zebras, to return to the Bafana Bafana setup.

Ramoreboli brings extensive Southern African experience to the team.

He also has a reputation for tactical flexibility and has achieved success at both club and international level. His arrival sees him replace outgoing assistant Helman Mkhalele.

Meanwhile, Arthur Zwane is expected to finish the crew.

    ARTHUR ZWANE’S LONG COACHING JOURNEY

Zwane made the transition from legendary player to coach after retiring in 2010.

He immediately joined Kaizer Chiefs‘ technical team as an assistant under Vladimir Vermezovic, remaining in that role until 2012.

He was then moved into the club’s academy. For almost a decade, Zwane worked across the U15, U17 and U19 structures before eventually taking charge of the Kaizer Chiefs reserve team.

His work with the youngsters earned him a return to the senior setup in 2020. Zwane served as an assistant to Gavin Hunt, Stuart Baxter and Molefi Ntseki.

He notably took temporary charge during the 2020/21 campaign, helping Kaizer Chiefs reach the CAF Champions League final.

In May 2022, Zwane was appointed permanent head coach on a three-year contract. However, after a difficult 2022/23 campaign, he was moved back into an assistant role before later returning to the academy.

A new chapter began in October 2024. Zwane left Kaizer Chiefs and joined AmaZulu FC as co-coach alongside Vusumuzi Vilakazi.

Following Vilakazi’s departure, Zwane became the club’s sole head coach.

He subsequently helped stabilise AmaZulu FC, guiding the Durban outfit to an impressive sixth-place finish in the 2024/25 Betway Premiership season.

That result secured Usuthu a place in the MTN8. Zwane’s work also earned him a contract extension.
