Mr. Rodell Roper was born on December 16, 1947, to the late James and Albertha Roper. Rodell was called home to be with the Lord on June 26, 2025, at the age of 77.
Rodell grew up in Effingham County where he attended the Effingham County Public School System. At an early age he joined the St. John Babptist Church. He moved to Florida at a young age where he married Rosetta Webb Roper on October 4, 1967, to this union 3 children were born. He was employed with Chevrolet and Overseas as a contractor until his health no longer allowed him to work.
Rodell was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Sonia Roper of Delray Beach Florida. Brothers Eugene Roper of Savannah Ga , Milton Roper of Guyton Ga, Napoleon Roper and Terry Roper of Springfield Ga
Rodell leaves to cherish his precious memories, his wife Rosetta Webb Roper; three daughters Marie Cater of Savannah Ga, April Thomason of Clinton Township Mi, Tasha Roper of Delray Beach Fla, one son Rodell Jr. (Shanreka) Roper of Deerfield Fla; eleven grandchildren, eight great grands; four brothers James (Shelia) Roper of Delray Beach Fla, Robbie (Hellen) Roper of Springfield Ga, Jacob Roper of Statesboro Ga, Randolph (Millie) Roper of Hardeeville SC; two sisters, Mattie (Gary) Curtis of Oliver Ga, Carlethia Roper of Springfield Ga; sister in laws Barbara Roper of Savannah Ga, Alease Roper of Guyton Ga, Marjaine Webb of Charleston west Virginia Dorthy Branham and Eva Bell Wilson of Valdosta Ga, bother in laws Rufus Webb and Harry Webb of Boynton Beach Fla , Jacob Webb, and Carl Webb of Delray Beach Fla, Ricky Webb of Alabama; one Uncle Harry Roper of Savanah Ga.
