SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – After disruptions in school operations due to Hurricane Helene, the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System (SCCPSS) will return with e-learning days on Thursday and Friday.
All athletic events will remain canceled for the remainder of the week and weekend.
SCCPSS has been closed due to Hurricane Helene and the damage and power outages it brought on in the area.
In a statement, the district said:
No student will be penalized for inability to participate in any of the E-Learning Days throughout this emergency weather event. Extended or alternative opportunities to complete assignments will be provided to ensure students are marked present.
