FREE event is open to the public

The Eastern Florida State College Foundation has announced that Jared Orton, president of the renowned Savannah Bananas will be featured as its Fall 2026 Simpkins Speaker Series headliner.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College Foundation has announced that Jared Orton, president of the renowned Savannah Bananas, will headline its Fall 2026 Simpkins Speaker Series.

This free event is open to the public and will be held on Monday, Nov. 9, beginning at 10:45 a.m. on the EFSC Melbourne Campus at Bldg. 16, Student Union, in the 2nd-floor conference center.

The Melbourne Campus is located at 3865 Wickham Road, Melbourne, FL 32935.

At the heart of the Savannah Bananas’ success is a simple belief: if you take care of the fans, the fans will take care of the brand.

That philosophy has shaped everything from the in-stadium experience and entertainment to how the organization builds its culture, creates content, and connects with people worldwide.

This “Fans First Experience” has helped cultivate a culture where ordinary moments become extraordinary memories, employees are empowered to create, and every decision starts with one question: What would make this better for the fan?

In his keynote, Orton shares the lessons, mindset, and practical principles behind building a fans-first culture and how an unwavering commitment to creating an experience people love can turn a local organization into a global phenomenon.

For more information, visit foundation.easternflorida.edu/simpkins-speaker-series/ or call 321-433-7055.
