SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — “I am the brush, the world is my canvas,” says local artist Amiri Farris.
The Savannah College of Art and Design graduate is a professor, too.
He has worked with various groups including Disney, Marvel, and the Telfair Museum. In fact, you may have seen his work around Savannah and in South Carolina’s Lowcountry.
Amiri joins WSAV’s Tina Tyus-Shaw on this week’s edition of Talent Tuesday.
You can see Amiri’s current show “Roots and Realities” at the Beach Institute in Savannah. It runs for just two more days, through April 10.
The exhibit includes his large paintings on canvas mixing paint, paper, comic books and more.
