SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed former Islands High and Florida State alum Kalen DeLoach to their practice squad on Oct. 1, according to the team’s website.
DeLoach signed with Tampa Bay as an unrestricted free agent after the 2024 NFL Draft on May 10. He performed well in training camp, but was waived during the team’s final cut on Aug. 27 as they looked to get down to the 53-man roster.
DeLoach played in the team’s first two preseason games, but he did not play in the last contest against the Miami Dolphins. DeLoach was listed under the section titled waived/injured which indicates he was injured at the time of his release.
In the preseason he had seven total tackles in the first two games which tied him for fourth most on the team at the time. He was listed as second on the depth chart.
