The next wave of young talent brought star power to the 2025 BET Awards at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on June 9. Rising stars like Akira Akbar, Graceyn “Gracie” Hollingsworth, Heiress Harris, Melody Hurd, Thaddeus J. Mixson, Tyrik Johnson, and more made a memorable impact on the red carpet.

Graceyn “Gracie” Hollingsworth

Graceyn “Gracie” Hollingsworth glowed on the carpet, looking radiant in an orange gown. On Instagram, her team wrote, “We’re so proud of our girl @graceyn_noelle — it was an honor to be nominated alongside such inspiring talent. This is just the beginning!”

Heiress Harris

Heiress Harris took to the red carpet with her parents, T.I. and Tiny Harris. The rising star, who is already building a name in music and acting, wowed in a blue suit that matched that of her dad’s.

Melody Hurd

Melody Hurd looked pretty in pink as she made her way down the carpet. The young actress also reunited with former co-star Kevin Hart during the night, sharing a sweet moment captured by cameras.

Thaddeus J. Mixson

Thaddeus J. Mixson looked sharp in an all-black suit as he posed for photos on the red carpet. The actor continues to gain recognition for his growing list of film and TV roles.

Akira Akbar

Although she didn’t walk the red carpet, Akira Akbar made sure to show up in full glam for her portraits at the event. The Bel-Air actress posed in a high-fashion look, proving her red carpet presence is strong even without the carpet.

VanVan

While VanVan didn’t post photos from the evening, the viral sensation was among the night’s YoungStars Award nominees.

The 2025 BET Awards celebrated not only music’s biggest names but also the next generation of talent. Blue Ivy, who was not in attendance due to being on tour, she earned another major accolade by taking home the coveted YoungStars Award.
