Even though I don’t have a traditional 9-to-5 job anymore (let’s just say it’s been a few years lol), I’d say a lot of my wardrobe works for that lifestyle… at least if I worked in a more casual office. Based on the pieces I tend to gravitate towards, I’d say my style is fairly polished! I love timeless, sophisticated shapes and wearable neutrals that can be styled any number of ways. Tailoring is also very important to me, which is definitely conducive for an office environment! I often receive requests for sharing pieces that can do both – be comfortable and appropriate for work, but stylish enough for wearing on nights and weekends. If that’s you, take a look at some of these styles that feel fresh and versatile for desk to dinner and weekend wear:

THE FRANKIE SHOP CHESNAY COLLARLESS BLAZER – Last week I mentioned placing an order to try four blazers in lighter neutrals from The Frankie Shop, and this is one of the two I ended up keeping! The silhouette is just tailored enough, and it looks amazing buttoned all the way up or left undone. The line of small black buttons adds a nice contrast against the creamy white fabric, and is a more stylized alternative to the single button and double-breasted styles you typically see on blazers. A very elegant and useful piece! I’d also love to try wearing it as a top, fully buttoned up and topped with a skinny black belt like this – it would be so chic and give it a more sculptural feel with black pants.

ZARA COTTON POPLIN PLEATED MIDI DRESS – The silhouette of this dress is so dreamy and such an ideal style for work-to-weekend wear! Modestly cut but still incredibly flattering, it’s a comfortable, stylish piece you can dress up or down with ease. Style it with sleek slingbacks at the office and throw on barely-there sandals on the weekend! It’s under $100 and comes in three colors, but the blue/grey option is my fave.

KHAITE DANE JEANS – These high-rise, wide-leg jeans with an extra-long inseam are an instant classic! They’re flattering and look amazing with all kinds of heeled boots, pumps and sandals. The elevated, streamlined silhouette makes them the perfect pair for a more relaxed office setting (or for wearing on casual Friday!) and a cut you’ll reach for night after night throughout the year. My particular wash is nearly sold out, but they come in five other timeless washes here!

MADEWELL BLAIRE TOP – Last week I popped into Madewell after spotting this jacket in the window, but I actually ended up leaving with this under $100 top! It’s a near perfect dupe for Doen’s cult favorite Henri top (priced at $248!). I’m normally not one to purchase exact lookalikes like this, but I do own a number of Doen pieces already so didn’t feel bad stepping out on them for this one. Blouses like this are so effortless and perfect for dressing up or down this time of year! Style it with a sweet skirt or polished pair of pants for the office, and wear with denim or fun shorts for weekend wear this summer.

MANGO MIDI DRESS WITH WAIST SCARF DETAIL – Another great dress to add to your list! It’s the perfect transitional neutral and an easy, comfortable style you can wear from desk to dinner. I love the scarf detail at the waist – it takes all the guesswork out of the styling and does it for you! At under $150, it’s a budget buy you’ll wear spring, summer and into fall.

ROGER VIVIER BELLE VIVIER SLINGBACK – I’m capped out right now on buying luxury goods at the moment, but these slingbacks are definitely on my wish list for a future purchase. I’m sort of hoping I can snag them on sale later on in the season! The combo of black, beige canvas and tortoiseshell accents is exquisite and would be super useful. This shape of shoe is an elegant style that would look great with dresses, skirts and tailored trousers at the office, but would be equally chic with a trendy pair of denim or an LBD on the weekend.

ZARA CROPPED BLACK PANTS – If you love the High Sport look, you need to snag these lookalike black kicky pants for only $60! The silhouette looks great with all kinds of shoes and is a solid staple you’ll wear to the office, on the weekend and when traveling. Style with a blazer or button-up with a cardigan over your shoulders for a comfortable work look!

MANSUR GAVRIEL DANCE BALLET FLATS // These flats are a comfortable, functional and versatile find for work or weekend! I love the contrasting taupe trim against the black leather. Perfect for those of you with a commute or if you travel often for your job! I could personally use more comfortable flats like this for everyday wear in the city.
