North West and Kanye West Matching Wear Gimp Masks in Photos

North West publicly marked Father’s Day by sharing rare photos with dad, Kanye West.

Taking to her Instagram Stories on Sunday, June 21, North, 13, shared a throwback photo of herself standing next to Kanye, 49, while wearing a dark-colored gimp mask much like her father’s. Looking up at Kanye, whose 2021 Donda album rollout saw the musician and models rocking various full-coverage facial masks at the time, North paired her mask with a bullet-proof vest with “Donda” written across the front.

Kanye wore a similar vest to the one worn by North, whom he shares with ex-wife Kim Kardashian. “Happy Father’s Day,” North captioned the snap before posting a second throwback photo from an even earlier time when she was helping Kanye plan one of his runway shows.

Both posts were accompanied by two of Kanye’s musical hits: 2016’s “Wolves” from The Life of Pablo, and 2008’s “Say You Will” from 808s & Heartbreak.

Kim, 45, also marked Father’s Day via her own Instagram on Sunday, sharing several Instagram Stories that focused on her late father, Robert Kardashian. Her first post showed a photo of a handmade card, created by a child-aged Kim, that read, “Happy Father’s Day! Love, Kimberly,” while a second Instagram Story showed a card with the caption, “He saved every card I wrote him.”

The second card’s message read, “Dad, I just want you to know how much I appreciate everything you do for me. I love working for you. I love you and happy Father’s Day! Kimberley.” (Kim worked for Robert, who died in 2003 at age 59, at his cinema music business.)

While North rarely shares photos of time spent with Kanye, the pair surprised fans in January by performing together in Mexico. During Kanye’s Mexico City show on January 30, North was brought out as a VIP guest and the pair performed an unreleased duet that was captured via social media at the time.

“You know, I never left you,” West, who wore an all-white jumpsuit, sang, sang at the time per circulated footage. “‘Cause every road that leads to heaven is right beside you / so I can say, ‘Hello, my only one.”

North is the eldest daughter of Kanye and Kim, who divorced in 2021 after seven years of marriage. The pair also share sons Saint, 10, and Psalm, 7, as well as daughter Chicago, 8.

Last week, Kim celebrated North’s graduation into teenhood by sharing a loving tribute via Instagram. “Happy Birthday my Northiiiiiieeeeeeeee (Uzi voice!!!),” Kim wrote alongside pics of North through the years. “I can’t believe you are officially a teenager!!!!! There’s no one like you my baby girl! I love being your mom and watching you grow. I love you to the aliens galaxies you would speak of as a kid and beyond. 🖤👽🛸🩵💙.”
