    Key takeaways
    • On May 9, an alleged altercation in the Sandy Springs home left Alicia Brown with a severe laceration above her left eye requiring stitches.
    • Home Ring security footage reportedly captured the incident; medical staff transported Brown to a hospital after urgent care treatment.
    • Their 13-year-old son reportedly heard the dispute, prompting a child cruelty allegation; Darian Morgan was booked and released on about $10,000 bond.

Atlanta radio personality and former BET host Big Tigger was arrested over the weekend in Georgia and is facing battery, aggravated battery, and third-degree cruelty to children charges stemming from an alleged domestic altercation involving his wife, Alicia Brown.

According to court documents and arrest records, the incident reportedly occurred on May 9 at the couple’s Sandy Springs home. Authorities say an argument began after Brown confronted Morgan about text messages allegedly exchanged with a female coworker. The disagreement reportedly escalated into a physical confrontation.

Investigators allege that during the dispute, Morgan tackled Brown while attempting to regain possession of his cellphone. Brown later told police she went to the home’s basement office, where the argument continued. Authorities claim Morgan grabbed her arms and shoved her, causing her to fall headfirst into a door and suffer a severe laceration above her left eye. The injury reportedly required numerous stitches and left visible scarring.

Police say the incident was captured on the home’s Ring security camera system. Brown was initially treated at an urgent care facility before being transported to a hospital due to the severity of her injury. Medical personnel reportedly contacted law enforcement after observing the wound.

Court records further state that Brown initially hesitated to cooperate with investigators because she feared retaliation and believed her claims might not be taken seriously because of Morgan’s celebrity status.

The child cruelty charge stems from allegations that the couple’s 13-year-old son was inside the home during the incident and allegedly heard the altercation from another room.

Morgan, whose legal name is Darian Morgan, was booked into the Fulton County Jail on Saturday and later released after posting approximately $10,000 in bond.

The arrest follows weeks of public speculation after Brown shared a social media video showing an injury above her eye. Earlier this month, Morgan addressed the controversy on-air, denying allegations that had been circulating about him and maintaining that the claims were false. As of Tuesday, he had not publicly responded to the specific allegations outlined in the arrest affidavit.

Morgan is widely known for hosting BET’s iconic music video program Rap City and currently serves as a radio personality on Atlanta’s V-103. The case remains under investigation.
