Flau’jae Johnson and the Seattle Storm returned to WNBA action Thursday after not having played since August due to the league’s sabbatical for the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup. The Storm appeared rusty returning from the break, losing to A’ja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces 114-77.
Guard Jackie Young led the way for Las Vegas, scoring a game-high 35 points. Guard Johnson led the way for Seattle, finishing with a team-high 25 points while making three 3-pointers. Although Seattle, sitting at a league-worst 8-33 record, has had a lackluster season, its 5-foot-10 guard has been a bright spot all season, with head coach Sonia Raman trusting the former LSU Tigers star to start in 31 games this season.
