Black Athletes in the Spotlight: HBCU Sports & Local Highlights

The limited-edition Titleist Vokey Design Old Glory SM10 wedges are a standout both in appearance and performance. With a subtle yet bold etched American flag design on a nickel finish, paired with a custom Old Glory shaft label, these wedges offer a unique and patriotic aesthetic that sets them apart on the course.

From a performance perspective, the SM10 wedges deliver outstanding feel and control. They feature progressive center of gravity (CG) placements that cater to precision distance control. In the 46°–52° range, the lower CG provides smoother distance transitions from irons, while the higher lofts (54°–62°) use a forward CG placement to promote a lower flight and improved control on partial shots.

One of the most impressive aspects of the SM10 is its spin consistency. Thanks to the patented Spin Milled TX9 grooves—cut specifically by loft and treated for enhanced durability—golfers can expect increased spin and control, particularly around the greens. The micro-texture between grooves also enhances spin on shorter shots.

The shaping and profile have also been refined. Lower-lofted models have a compact shape with a straighter leading edge, while higher-lofted wedges offer a larger footprint and more rounded edge, giving players added confidence in a variety of lies.

With 27 loft, bounce, and grind combinations available—including six tour-proven grind options—Titleist offers serious customization. Golfers are encouraged to use the Vokey Wedge Selector tool and schedule a professional fitting for optimal results.

Priced at $219, the Old Glory SM10 wedges are a premium offering—but their precision engineering, spin performance, and striking design make them a valuable addition for any golfer serious about improving their short game. Available through mid-July, while supplies last.
