    To broaden the understanding and celebration of Juneteenth, Juneteenth California has announced a new partnership with the HAWK Institute and local author and filmmaker Tommy Ross. The collaboration aims to amplify the reach and impact of the illustrated version of Ross’ book, “Beyond Juneteenth.”

    Juneteenth California will now serve as the official distributor for the illustrated edition of “Beyond Juneteenth.” This strategic alliance marks a crucial step in disseminating knowledge about Juneteenth and its vital role in shaping the freedoms and values that define American society today. The book is available for purchase through the Juneteenth California website.

    “Beyond Juneteenth” offers an engaging exploration of Juneteenth, not only as a celebration of emancipation, but also as an integral part of the broader tapestry of historical events that have laid the foundation for the liberties cherished today. With its beautifully illustrated pages, the book is designed to captivate readers young and old, ensuring the history and importance of Juneteenth are passed down through generations.
