Women entrepreneurs looking for capital to grow their businesses have a new funding opportunity—but the application window is short.

H&R Block has opened applications for its third annual Fund Her Future Grant, offering four women-owned small businesses $45,000 each in funding, along with a year of professional business services. Applications opened September 1 and will remain open through September 22, 2026, at 6 p.m. ET.

The 2026 program marks H&R Block’s largest Fund Her Future investment to date, with $180,000 in total grant funding available.

    More Than Grant Money

While access to capital can make a major difference for a growing business, H&R Block is also focusing this year’s program on some of the behind-the-scenes responsibilities that often challenge entrepreneurs.

Each of the four grant recipients will receive one year of complimentary business services, including tax preparation, bookkeeping, payroll, and a business structure analysis.

H&R Block said the expanded support was influenced by feedback from previous applicants. Nearly 60% reported needing assistance with critical business tasks such as tax preparation, bookkeeping, compliance, payroll, or incorporation. New for 2026, all applicants will also have access to year-long community-focused programming designed around the needs identified through that feedback.

For entrepreneurs who are already balancing marketing, sales, customer service, operations, and everything else required to keep a business moving, that additional professional support could be almost as valuable as the funding itself.

Who Is Eligible for the Fund Her Future Grant?

According to H&R Block’s program guidelines, the Fund Her Future Grant is open to qualifying women-owned small businesses in the United States.

    Applicants must:

    • Own an established woman-owned business.
    • Be a U.S. resident.
    • Be at least 18 years old, or 19 in Alabama and Nebraska.
    • Have generated at least $20,000 in revenue during 2025.
    • Operate a for-profit business.

Both full-time and part-time business owners may apply, including sole proprietors and entrepreneurs with employees. Nonprofit organizations are not eligible.

Fund Her Future Continues to Grow

H&R Block launched Fund Her Future in 2024 as an initiative designed to provide women entrepreneurs with capital and professional resources.

Interest in the program has grown quickly. More than 8,000 entrepreneurs applied in 2025, when Block Advisors by H&R Block awarded six women-owned businesses a combined $100,000.

This year, the company has increased the total funding available to $180,000 while concentrating the awards among four businesses.

Following the application period, H&R Block plans to select a group of applicants for interviews before choosing the four recipients. Winners are expected to be notified in October.

For women entrepreneurs preparing for the final quarter of the year—and already thinking about what growth could look like in 2027—the Fund Her Future Grant presents an opportunity to secure both capital and infrastructure for their next stage of business.

Applications must be submitted by September 22, 2026, at 6 p.m. ET.

Apply for the Fund Her Future Grant through H&R Block’s official grant website.
