    There’s nothing like a crispy wing and if you’ve been missing all of the crispy-ness of your favorite wings but also don’t love deep frying then this Crispy Baked Chicken Wing recipe was made for you, my friend! You get all the crispy, crunchy satisfaction of a fried wing with half the work of deep frying.

    I use a simple special ingredient to get the wings as crispy as possible and the they’re coated in a super simple seasoning blend that packs in a ton of flavor while still keeping this recipe easy! Pair them with a creamy blue cheese dip or Greek yogurt ranch dip for the perfect touch. The end result is a game day worthy wing spread that everyone will love. I guarantee that no one will miss the deep frying!

    Key Ingredients You’ll Need

    • Chicken Wings: you’ll need two pounds of split chicken wings, also known as “party wings,” for this recipe. 
    • Baking Powder: this is my secret to the crispiest wings without the need for frying! 
    • Spices: salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and paprika create a savory flavor with lots of depth and a touch of heat.

    How to Make Easy Baked Crispy Chicken Wings in 3 Steps! 

    1. Season and bake. Pat the wings dry with paper towels, and toss them with avocado oil and baking powder, and seasonings. 
    2. Bake. Arrange the wings in a single layer on a baking sheet, and bake until the skin is golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through. 
    3. Serve. Transfer the crispy oven baked wings to a serving platter, and enjoy warm with celery, carrots, and your favorite dips!

    Not a fan of blue cheese? Don’t worry you’ve got a few different delicious options when it comes to sauces and dips! Try serving the wings with homemade ranch, homemade honey BBQ sauce, or buffalo sauce.

    If you’re serving these for dinner then try adding a few extra sides like these crispy baked potato wedges, bacon ranch potato salad, homemade coleslaw, or air fryer buffalo cauliflower for a filling weeknight dinner.

    How to Store and Reheat 

    Store leftover crispy oven baked wings in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. 

    To reheat, warm leftovers in an air fryer using the ‘reheat’ function or by simply heating it to 400°F. Or, arrange the wings in an even layer on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet, and warm them in the oven at 400°F just until they’re crispy and heated through.

    Ingredients

    • 2 pounds split chicken wings
    • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
    • 1 tablespoon baking powder
    • 1 teaspoon salt, plus more to taste
    • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
    • 1 teaspoon onion powder
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1 teaspoon paprika

    For Serving:

    • sliced celery
    • sliced carrots
    • homemade buffalo sauce
    • blue cheese dip
    • buttermilk ranch dressing


    Instructions

    1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. 
    2. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels and then add them to a large mixing bowl. Add the avocado oil and baking powder to the wings and toss until well coated.
    3. Place the chicken wings on the parchment lined baking sheet in a single layer. Bake the wings for 40-45 minutes until golden brown and the skin is crispy, flipping halfway through.
    4. Once all of the wings are done cooking, transfer them to a large mixing bowl. Season with salt, pepper, and all of the dried spices. Toss until well combined. 
    5. Transfer the wings to a serving platter and serve with celery, carrots, and your favorite dips.
