Style Spotlight: Looks, Trends & Fashion Inspiration

Key takeaways
  • Mally Roncal was Beyoncé's makeup artist during the Destiny's Child era, creating looks for Lose My Breath, Naughty Girl, and Baby Boy.
  • She worked with stars like Jennifer Lopez and Angelina Jolie, launching Mally Beauty on QVC, selling out in 36 minutes.
  • Today she remains a beloved QVC personality, hosts Over 50 & Fabulous, shares mature-skin makeup tips, and preaches positivity.

Queen Bey has been one of the top artists in music for decades. And her longevity is not just due to her amazing songs and discography; but also credit must go to her fabulous style and makeup looks. She has been a trendsetter from her bedazzled leotards to her platinum blonde hair. However, getting the perfect look isn’t without challenges at times. So grab a snack, toss on a face mask and enjoy some Beyoncé makeup stories that are straight from her former makeup artist Mally Roncal.

Roncal was Bey’s right hand woman back BACK in the day. We are talking about Destiny’s Child era and the very beginning of Mrs Carter’s solo career. Therefore, think the music video for Lose My Breath as well as music videos for Naughty Girl and Baby Boy.

However, Mally didn’t just work with Sasha Fierce. She had a plethora of celebrity clientele. Roncal was basically the MUA of the 2000s It Girls. Mally rose quickly in the beauty industry, working with top celebrities such as Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, and Angelina Jolie. Her Mally Beauty line debuted on QVC® on March 5, 2005, selling out in just 36 minutes!

So what is this talented woman up to now? Still in Beauty and Entertainment of course! Two decades later, Mally remains a beloved QVC® personality. She currently hosts Over 50 & Fabulous, a weekly series where she discusses real issues with women who embrace their authentic selves. She also shares makeup tips online for mature skin, via social media.

She’s also a motivational speaker, and as she calls it, a “positivity preacher.” An individual that shares her journey of resilience, boldness, and unapologetic individuality. As one can see, Roncal is still booked and busy.
