Nia Long is seeking court protection after alleging a woman’s fixation on her has crossed into repeated and unsettling encounters.

The actress recently filed for a temporary restraining order against Carrie McDonald, accusing her of ongoing harassment and uninvited visits to her Los Angeles residence. According to TMZ, Long claims the woman is operating under the belief that they are in a romantic relationship—despite the two having no connection.

In legal filings, Long stated McDonald “is a stalker” and noted she has no personal relationship with her. She alleges the behavior has persisted for nearly two years, including a pattern of unwanted gifts such as flowers and cards being sent to her.

Authorities were reportedly called during the most recent incident on Saturday, March 21, after McDonald allegedly showed up at Long’s home and rang the doorbell. Police responded and arrested the woman. Long also referenced a prior encounter in 2024, claiming McDonald appeared at her home late at night and demanded she open the door before officers issued a “strong warning.”

The restraining order request includes protection for Long and her two sons, 25-year-old Massai Dorsey II and 14-year-old Kez Udoka. The judge has denied the request for now. A hearing is scheduled for April.
