The City of Pooler Fire-Rescue is releasing employees and tools to help with ongoing wildfire reductions initiatives in Brantley Area, where crews are actively functioning to contain the growing Brantley– Freeway 82 Fire near Nahunta.

Pooler Fire-Rescue’s Brush 601 and 2 employees will be operating 12 -hour shifts from 8: 00 a.m. to 8: 00 p.m., deploying everyday to the event and returning each night. Currently, fire task has been lowered overnight, enabling crews to safely turn without prolonged overnight procedures.

The wildfire has actually grown to roughly 5, 000 acres and is currently 10 % consisted of. Officials report that 47 homes and structures have actually been ruined, underscoring the intensity of the incident and the continuous demand for regional assistance.

“Our employees are trained and planned for this type of response, and we are dedicated to sustaining our partners in Brantley Region throughout this tough event,” claimed Fire Chief Wade Simmons. “Wildland fires of this scale need coordinated, continual initiatives, and we are pleased to add to securing lives and residential property.”

The marked hosting location for responding devices is located at the Brantley Area Flight Terminal (31553 U.S. Highway 82, Nahunta, GA).
